if you’ve followed me a while, you know that I’m obsessed with nourishing and protein-rich shakes and smoothies. this strawberry lavender protein milkshake is another delicious way to welcome spring anytime you need a little sweet treat. it utilizes healthy fats, protein, collagen and nature’s best strawberries along with a decadent but simple honey lavender syrup.

inspiration:
strawberries and lavender are just one of those quintessential springtime flavor combinations that never fail. I decided to make a simple honey lavender syrup that goes perfectly in this milkshake and would also be lovely to drizzle into your fave chamomile tea or morning matcha latte. fresh or frozen strawberries join the milkshake party with your fave vanilla protein powder, collagen and vanilla bean paste for good measure. the secret? frozen riced cauliflower adds texture and thickness without altering the flavor. I promise you’ll love this combo!

milkshake ingredients:
hopefully, you’ll be able to find most of these ingredients lurking in your pantry and freezer.
- fresh or frozen strawberries: the star of the show!
- frozen riced cauliflower: adds nutrients and thickens but doesn’t influence the flavor.
- dried lavender: adds a subtle lavender flavor without getting “soapy” tasting.
- honey: adds the perfect floral sweetness and lovely flavor to complement the strawberries and lavender.
- vanilla protein powder: I’m loving this new French vanilla version from Just ingredients.
- collagen: for healthy hair, skin and nails as well as joint health. this is my current favorite brand.
- coconut milk: I use full-fat canned coconut milk for extra richness- you can use almond milk or raw cow’s milk.
- flavorings: vanilla bean paste and salt amplify the flavors. Don’t skip these- they truly enhance all the ingredients.
