It’s also so important with managing my autoimmune disease through diet and lifestyle, plus those sneaky perimenopause symptoms sneaking in…👀 I’ve also been avoiding ashwaghanda as “it raises serotonin which can suppress thyroid function leading to more fatigue and weight gain. It can actually be more stress inducing especially for those with autoimmune and hormonal imbalances,” according to my fave @connealymd👩‍⚕️Both my local Austin integrative provider and my longtime naturopath also agree for my personal health journey. My SLEEPY Bone Broth Hot Chocolate: 1 serving Bone Broth Chocolate Protein (I use @justingredients Mint Chocolate Bone Broth Protein- use code calliesalls) 1 serving Mushroom Hot Cocoa (I use @ryzesuperfoods) 1 serving collagen (I use @perfectsupplements) 10 oz @malkorganics Coconut Milk or whole milk 1/4 teaspoon mineral salt Optional: 1 serving creatine if my muscles are sore (I use @justingredients brand- use code calliesalls) To a stainless saucepan, add milk, protein powder, hot cocoa mix, collagen, salt and creatine, if desired. Bring to a low simmer over low heat, whisking constantly, for 3-4 minutes until hot and frothy. Do not scald or powders will scorch.
