That development happens over decades, not years. Like we are talking not developed until 25😂 So when your child is melting down, they’re not being difficult or “disrespectful”. They’re dysregulated. And when we stay regulated as parents, their nervous system borrows ours. That’s co-regulation: the foundation of conscious parenting. This reminder helps me pause, soften and respond calmly instead of react. Restaurants use more fat and salt than you think. Restaurants use more fat and salt than you think. That’s why it tastes better. Overmixing is the fastest way to ruin tender baked goods. I know your kids like to help… buuuuuut take the spatula away😜 If you want to dice melon or winter squash without the skin- don’t cut it in half first. Peel or cut the rind away first, then dice. If it sticks, it’s not ready to flip and/or your pan wasn’t hot enough. Tomato paste should always be cooked until brick red. Just say no to jarred minced garlic. Yes, it’s convenient- but grab pre-peeled cloves instead for way less artificial flavor. Stop cutting into meat to “check.” Rest it first or use a thermometer. Pre-shredded cheese is sabotaging your sauces. Anti-caking chemicals = 👎🏻 Your baking powder might be dead. If it’s older than 6 months, test it or toss it. “Healthy” doesn’t mean joyless or tasteless. If you dread eating it, it’s not sustainable🫶🏻 Are we down for a Part 6? 👩‍🍳
