the inspiration:

pears have always been in my top 5 fruits and my mom always had them around growing up. I remember my aunt bettie and uncle Kim would always keep chunky homemade applesauce with cinnamon stocked in their Houston home and it also reminds me of the holidays. this pear vanilla butter is a fusion of the two, with warming nutmeg, real vanilla bean and tons of fresh pears.

The ingredient line up.

how to make:

this pear butter recipe couldn’t be easier to make. You literally toss everything in a saucepan, and let it simmer for about 50 minutes until the pears are super soft and the mixture has thickened. you will then puree in a blender or with an immersion blender. you can make it perfectly smooth or leave a little chunky for texture. I left mine smooth but both options are delicious.
