Fresh Pear and Vanilla Butter
This Fresh Pear and Vanilla Butter is a perfect delightful holiday spread full of luscious pears, delicate spices and vanilla bean.
- 3 pounds ripe pears peeled, cored & diced small
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg plus more for garnishing
- ¼ teaspoon mineral salt
- Juice and zest 1 lemon
- 1 Tablespoon pure vanilla bean paste
In a medium saucepan, add all ingredients, tossing to coat.
Simmer on medium-low heat for 45-55 minutes, until liquid from pears have released and pears have softened.
Transfer to a high-speed blender or food processor and puree until smooth.
Package in an airtight container or mason jars and store in the refrigerator.
