Hydrating Watermelon Limeade

These blazing Texas hill country weekends are relentless but we have a secret weapon to battle the summertime blues- a wonderful hydrating limeade made with clean ingredients and an extra oomph of electrolytes. I add lmnt electrolytes to my filtered water regularly and it’s divine combined with blended watermelon and citrus.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups fresh watermelon cut into 1 inch chunks and chilled
  • 2 cups cold filtered water
  • one citrus salt lmnt electrolyte packet
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • several sprigs of fresh mint leaves

Instructions
 

  • in a high speed blender, add all ingredients except mint leaves.
  • blend until smooth & frothy.
  • to serve, lightly bruise mint leaves with your hand and serve in crushed ice-filled serving glasses.
  • pour limeade, sip & enjoy!
