🍵Carpenter Hotel: Ladybird Latte or Iced Matcha with Lavendar- the barista also told me they have an insane Pistachio Cardamom syrup on their seasonal menu currently. Try the Overnight Oats or Chia Pudding for a GF breakfast option. @carpenterhotel

🥑Fonda San Miguel: Arrive by 4:30pm for Happy Hour. I loved the Pepino Trio Cocktail with zero-proof gin, cucumber and lime. Pair it with their Guacamole and Queso Fundido with fresh corn tortillas. @fondasanmigueltx

🥟Elizabeth Street Cafe: The spring rolls are a must and we loved the Wild-Caught Shrimp Steamed Rice Rolls and Pork & Shrimp Crepe. Do not sleep on the GF Krispy Chocolate Bar for dessert. @elizabethstreetcafe

🍹June’s All Day: We started with the marinated olive & salami antipasti then Yellowtail Tuna Niçoise Salad and a Zero-Proof Spritz- the perfect belated birthday lunch with some high school friends. @junesallday

One of my biggest regrets in my father’s last y One of my biggest regrets in my father’s last years was not advocating enough for his health and the power of a healthy lifestyle with a diet full of whole, real foods.

Pivotal questions about his diet and lifestyle were not being asked or considered essential by his medical team, in my opinion.

Although it’s a regret of mine, I’m striving to take a positive spin and fully immerse myself in a healing journey- both physically, mentally and spiritually as well as championing my 75YO mom to do the same.

She’s been seeing my same functional medicine provider and gets extensive yearly bloodwork, has made numerous clean eating swaps as well as embraced following a more low-tox lifestyle and continued to stay active.

After we both experienced what happened to my father in caretaking roles, we want my mom to live as long as possible and I want to do the same at 40 for my 4YO son.

For me, having  intention over what we put in our bodies holds so much more importance over any quick fix. Who’s with me? Let’s talk about it🥰

My son gobbled this down and asked for more. Serve with some of my Orange Peel Guacamole with your favorite tortilla chips for a fun and festive spin on hot dog night🫶🏻
