It spikes cortisol + blood sugar causing more anxiety, cravings and next-day crashes. It impacts estrogen + progesterone balance worsening hot flashes, mood swings and fatigue. Your body’s ability to process alcohol slows causing lower tolerance and stronger effects. I cut out alcohol 2.5 years ago and it really changed everything.
