Need a lazy semi-homemade dessert thatā€™s super fes Need a lazy semi-homemade dessert thatā€™s super festive?šŸ„®šŸŽ This Gingerbread Apple Cookie Trifle is my go-to for last-minute holiday magic. It takes minutes to assemble and the hardest part is waiting for the cookies to soften while the trifle chills overnight. Itā€™s gluten-free, grain-free, refined sugar-free and insanely easy to assemble. Layers of @simplemills pecan cookies, apple butter, dried fruits soaked in orange liqueur and a simple cream cheese filling make it festive, cozy and easy to make with kiddos. Bonus: it looks gorgeous on the table with zero stressšŸ„®šŸŽ Comment RECIPE and Iā€™ll send it over!

I donā€™t miss the glass of wine. I love who Iā€™ve become without it. What do you do instead of grabbing a glass of wine? We donā€™t avoid food dyes and refined sugar because We donā€™t avoid food dyes and refined sugar because weā€™re strict. We avoid them because weā€™ve seen what they doā€¦ Especially during the holidays when everything is colorful, sparkly and marketed straight to kids. My son still enjoys treats, (tons of treatsšŸ˜‚). He still gets the magic. We just choose versions that donā€™t hijack his gut, his mood or his nervous system. Whatā€™s hard is that holiday food itself isnā€™t the problem. Itā€™s that so many kiddo holiday foods have quietly turned into chemicals with artificial dyes, ultra-refined sugars, inflammatory oils and other things that little bodies were never meant to process daily. So yes, we celebrate. We bake, decorate, share sweets and make memories. We just donā€™t need food that disrupts his digestion, sleep, behavior or immune system to make it feel specialšŸŽ„āœØšŸ«¶šŸ» What do you think?
