I make sure I’m enjoying a sweet right *after* I’v I make sure I’m enjoying a sweet right *after* I’ve had a meal with plenty of protein and fiber to help prevent blood-sugar spikes and crashes. This is essential for metabolic health and longevity and I show my son how to do the same. He knows, “protein first” 😜 What I look for when making/buying a sweet treat: 🥥healthy fat like coconut or avocado oil (for stable blood sugar + flavor) 🍎real ingredients (so it tastes as good as I feel after) 🍁natural sweeteners like maple syrup that’s lower on the glycemic index Comment SWEETS for some of my nourishing sweet treat recipes and save this for when the craving hits 🍰
