Servings 12

Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh figs cut into 6ths (about 12-15 figs)
  • 1 cup pears diced small (about 1 medium pear)
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ teaspoon mineral salt
  • ¼ cup chia seeds
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a small or medium heavy-bottomed pot. Cook on low heat, stirring often, for 15-20 minutes until juices have realeased, fruit has started to break down, and compote has thickened. Set aside to cool.
  • Serve chilled or room temperature atop greek yogurt, layered in a trifle cup with crushed gingersnaps and mascarpone, or spooned atop vanilla bean ice cream.
